The difference between creating technology and needing it at the time.

When technology is made, is it needed? Is it too early or too late?

Exoskeleton suits: is it too early for this technology to be used in our society? Is an exoskeleton suit practical enough to use now, considering its cost too?

What can we use it for? Look at films that use this technology.

They use this kind of suit in Avatar or Iron Man, and in games such as Call of Duty. In these films and games the suits usually have a military purpose. Are there other areas where exoskeleton suits can be used? Construction is one major area.

These suits can be used for assembly or heavy lifting. What about rescue and security missions for the police, fire service and healthcare services? There is also a wide range of uses here, including entering dangerous or unsecured zones.

What about the space industry? When mining in space becomes necessary, I can imagine astronauts using exoskeleton suits to carry out sophisticated missions on the Moon or in deep space.

What do we have instead of exoskeleton suits? What is more practical?

I think that when the suits arrive and their cost is affordable, they are what we will want. For now, however, we have to use lifting cranes or small vehicles that can only be used on certain types of ground, not everywhere like an exoskeleton suit.

The next question concerns mobility and when we might see a fully functioning suit in the near future. These suits need energy, and electricity is a good source. Unfortunately, battery development is very slow. Nowadays, the endurance and mobility of these suits are therefore not very long. But again, companies, researchers and innovation will solve this along the way.

One last thing I want to mention is a flying exoskeleton suit of some kind. It is a little too far beyond this technology for now, but you can imagine it.
